valentines plans

Today I enjoyed baking and decorating valentines cookies for my boys~ For Christmas I received frosting dispensers (otherwise known as ketchup/mustard containers...) and this is the first chance I have had to use them. They are a wonderful way to decorate sugar cookies and if you do a lot of that, I highly recommend picking up a set of them.

We are in the process of preparing for Valentines here on the farm. #3 has a party at school tomorrow so we spent time assembling his gift bags for his class yesterday. I bought pink spoons for the party for the sundaes that they will enjoy. It should be a fun afternoon and I am sorry to have to miss the party but know I will hear all about it when he returns home that afternoon.

My mom is coming down for the weekend and I am looking forward to seeing her and spending the weekend together. She will be here with the boys (and, I am fairly certain, quite a number of other teenagers as well) on Saturday night so that handsome husband and I can go out on a date. I think that we will spend the evening at the fancy theater we have here in town. Have you been to one of them? The ones with the large reclining chairs, where they bring you blankets and pillows? Where you share a little table with your date and they serve you wine, and a fabulous dinner, and delicious and indulgent desserts? If you haven't, you really must make a point of trying to do it at least once. It is truly a fabulous experience!

Have a lovely rest of your day mes amies,
xx

Sweet! I've heard that they changed the theatre in my old neck of the woods into one of which you spoke...but I've yet to visit it.

Have a beautiful weekend!

You are just the best Mom! Pink spoons and all. The Date sounds perfect and I know there won't be one opening here like that. When we were in Oklahoma at Xmas we went to a show where they had reclining chairs and I thought I was in heaven. We Canadians can be a bit behind in things.....guess we are just to polite to ask for them! Have a wonderful Valentines, boys and all. XO
