~my new chippy cabinet

I found this gem of a cabinet at a sale I went to this past weekend. I was thrilled to see a friend who had it in her booth! While I know it isn't exactly my husband's "style", he is a wonderful man who is so supportive of things he finds, well, junky. Funny but that is exactly what I loved about it!

I plan to store all of my favorite serving platters and ironstone in it. It sits adjacent to our dining area, and it also near the kitchen, thus making it ideal for storing those sorts of things.

It currently is a few different pale blues, with chippy white paint underneath. I think I will live with it for a bit before I decide what I want to do with it. I just may leave it as it is~

Have a lovely Tuesday~
xx

Oh my gosh, I love it! It's perfect just the way it is.

It's funny - my dad inherited an old cabinet from his parents and it is painted the most perfect shade of aged blue-grey. I almost lost it when he said he wanted to have it refinished. I'm not sure he'd seen that side of me before :).

Oh mercy, Mimi... what an amazing find, & that color is perfection. (I have the same issue with my husband, it's his mama's fault).

Sweet day,

It is so appealing and looks great as it is and where you placed it in your kitchen area. I like the contrast. I bet hubby will come around to love it as much as you do!

Oh, it is a beauty. Reminds me of something you would see in Country Living magazine. Maybe you could just put a litttle poly on it. That way in you need to wipe it down, you can.
p.s. It's extra nice looking because of your beautiful photography!
