mot francais du jour

After attempting to write an email en francais this afternoon, the need for my mot du jour aujourd'hui became painfully apparent...

Le Vocabulaire - vocabulary

This is an area that I am sorely lacking - every single sentence I wanted to write had numerous words that I didn't know. Thus, I really need to spend more time studying mon vocabulaire!

If you want to double your learning pleasure each day, you might want to visit this site, as she too will be doing a "french word a day" on her blog!

xx

Thanks for giving a web site. I might need a week for each word, but it will be fun. Happy Weekend!

Hey, will you call me when you get time and are by your computer so you can walk me through the header? Love yours by the way, can't wait to meet Mabel! xoxo

Dearest Mimi .... I think Mabel and I were in high school French class together, so she might be able to assist you as you increase your vocabulary and perfect your nasal sounds ... mais non? Alas, if she remembers as little as I do, she will only be able to say such irrelevant items as "we need a fourth to play cards", "the record player is broken" and "where is the library?" I guess our lot in life is to feel stylish even though we are a bit dated and ask cute waiters to help us order ... (think Mabel notices the cute attendants at the petrol station? ... I am sure she does!)
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh Fun!! I studied Spanish in school (way back in the day when cavemen roamed the earth - LOL) but French is such a beautiful language. I'm going to check out the blog you mentioned.

How fun! It is on my life list to learn both French and Italian...hmmm, maybe I should get going on that. No time like the present :).

Hey, are you planning on going to Blissdom? Just curious. This insane person that took over my body decided I'm going.

Hi Kimberly,
I hope you are enjoying a lovely Sunday afternoon. I was just putting in a DVD...and had to send you a note. "Would you like your movie in English, French, or Spanish?" Hmmm...have you tried watching/listening to your favorite DVD's en Francais while you go about your day? Also, when I'm working on foreign language vocablulary..I draw a little picture of the meaning of the word rather than writing the English equivalent with it. Make sense? Oops...movie's ready...have to run. I just bought the special edition of, "The Proposal."

: )

Just found your blog and will be following along from now on - you have so many lovely posts. Bonne chance on the French, I need to check this out myself, my French is terrible.
But the worse part is I moved to Paris a few years back and still have trouble getting my point across!
