my favorite caterer

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to see my VERY. FAVORITE. CATERER - not to mention a wonderful friend that I met and fell in love with last summer. Katherine is truly one of the most talented chefs/bakers/food stylists that I have met, and whenever I have the chance to eat something she has created, I make sure I am there!

Two words: CHICKEN CURRY Deb- I know you are with me on this. to. die. for.

Okay, sorry, two more words~ coconut cake. Kath was SO incredibly generous and sent me home with two pieces, two heavenly pieces (of which I hid under my craft table and snuck bites out of all day long when my boys weren't looking. Sorry - but there is NO WAY I was sharing that cake - they simply would NOT appreciate it adequately...).

I also love that she uses old photos of her family members for advertising and decorating. The one of her auntie with the "give me a cupcake" is a favorite~

If you are anywhere on the west side of Washington and need a caterer, you really do need to talk with Katherine. If you are in the area for the Barn House flea, hopefully she will be there again this year. If you hear that she will be somewhere that you can get to, run, don't walk, as her food goes FAST. really fast. it is that good.

Everything looks so incredibly good. And I'm in the area - perhaps when I go to the Barn show I'll be able to sample one (or two) of her creations. And a friend sent me home with two freshly baked cupcakes recently...one for me and one for my husband. I ate both -well, one was minnie cupcake so is that less awful? Trina

I should have eaten a salad before reading this post. Now I am craving something equally beautiful and delicious. Maybe if I walk all the way to Washington and back, that will cancel out eating everything she creates!!:-))))

Thank you for sharing!

That cake looks amazing! I love the way she used her family photos. Sadly my family photos are all from the 80's and neon and spandex doesn't look as good.

sigh. My mouth just waters when that phrase is uttered...'curried chicken salad'. Mmmmmmmmnnnnn. I hope I don't have to wait until July's BH Flea to have it again! Her presentation was lovely, as always.

Your coconut cake is the BEST! I would have some now if I could. You are the smart one...don't pass this up if you get the chance. I can only imagine how good her Chicken Curry is!
Thank you for sharing...and thank you for your sweetest kindest words on my daughters birthday post. It truly does all pay off one day.

Love the face on the cupcakes! Reminds me of my "I want a chupa chup (lollypop)" face I used to give my grandparents. Very creative. Rachaelx
