Recently I have discovered my love and appreciation of vintage items, and my ability to find new uses for old, well worn, well loved items. Obviously my favorite things to re-purpose are things that have been handed down through my family, having belonged to those who have come before me. Things with a story, things that have been loved by others first. While I have always loved antiques and vintage items, lately I have been lucky enough to be introduced to people who are passionate about reusing previously under-apprecited objects.
One such couple, whom I met at my most recent visit to the Sand Point Antique Market, is the incredibly talented Designers Bob and Debi Ward Kennedy. Bob & Debi combine their talents and experience in custom home construction & retail design to create a constantly changing line of home decor products. Utilizing recycled, thrifted, salvaged, and gathered items, these artists create fresh new furniture and accessories with a vintage vibe. The items that they had in their booth at the show were absolutely divine!
Debi was kind enough to send me some recent photos to share with you. They have items available for sale locally, so if you live in the Seattle area, you are in luck! They also have a blog, where you can see where you can find their fabulous creations, as well as keep up with what they are currently working on.
So head on over, as I am sure that you will find something on their site that inspires you~
