glorious, glorious sunshine~

There is something about the warmth of the sun on your back as you work in your gardens, listening to birds in the trees when you first wake in the morning as the sun is just rising, the smell of blossoms in bloom on the breeze as it brushes against your cheek.  I always say Autumn is my favorite season, but the older I get, the more I appreciate spring.  The weather overall may not be as nice here in Seattle as it will be come September, but whenever I wake and outside my windows I see blue sky, my mood immediately becomes one of joyful, giddy glee!  We appreciate the sun here in Seattle more than many parts of the country, as it isn't something we see all of the time.  I don't think that, at this time of year, we take it for granted. Strangers tend to smile at each other more often when they cross paths.  Drivers are more courteous, happiness seems to be contagious.
So here are some photos that I took today out on the property.  What a blissful day it was on Chestnut Farm~

What a perfect post! I couldn't agree more! :)

As a side note, my husband and I are seriously considering building a small coop and getting a few chickens to keep in our backyard. We've been reading up on it and the whole idea really appeals to us! If we come across any questions that we can't find answers to, could I ask your opinion? I love reading about your chickens!

I, too, have always loved fall, but like you, the older I get, the more I crave spring's promise! It's a gray, dreary day here in Massachusetts, so your post gave me just the lift I needed! Thanks.

If heaven is a peak of what you see everyday and through your lens. I can't wait! Oh... I guess I should hope to make it there!! Fall and spring are my two favorite seasons. Spring is fun to see things slowly waking up as the sun taps them lightly on their buds. The buds yawning as sunlight is bright... Spring reminds me of little ones waking up from their naps with their arms stretched... Right? Thank you and enjoy your golden day!! xoxo

Got my camera in the mail yesterday. :) I'll post some pictures soon. I went out yesterday to shoot pictures but didnt get good results. Of course we dont have the green that you have. I live in the dry brown desert. Gotta go out and find something that is pretty out there. Hum.... this is going to be tough. :)
