Breakfast for dinner

What a crazy day it has been! I have been really productive, and it is days such as this, with all of the running around, the soccer practice, the trip to the post office, and a lunch date with #4 that I am thankful that I have quick dinner options on hand. Tonight, I am making breakfast for dinner. The boys love it, and as my handsome husband is away it is a great night to enjoy our favorite french toast, eggs from the girls, and to try some of the bacon I brought home from the butcher on Monday. The weather has turned cool and looks almost stormy, so I am looking forward to getting everyone into their jammies early, smelling the bacon cooking on the stove, and watching a movie while we eat!

Have a lovely evening my friends,
xx

When we are empty nesting (which comes and goes with our son's neverending schooling) we often eat bacon and eggs for dinner and it always tastes the best ever on those nights when you have no time or just crave it. Our son thinks it's weird. We think it's delicious and tastes even better at night (for some reason). XO

I'm so happy that great wood box found a lovely home. Did you have a great time? It's going to be too long till the next Flea in July 2010! I hope to see you before then, Sue ( who also likes Breakfast for dinner :0)

Love french toast, especially on challah! You must try it if you have not.

Why not? The most important is that you all like it. I do too sometimes - just because I like it!

Breakfats for dinner.....perfect, simple, healthy and complete. I am always inspired by those who make simple things gourmet!!!!! Yes I am sitting in my jammies at 6.35pm and loving it - some rain against the window would be nice and a drop of 10 degrees would complete the picture! Not happening it is Brisbane, Queensland.

When I was a kid, I thought granny was a bit off, eating cereal for supper. Now I do it too... something comforting about it. And my favorite breakfast? Leftover veggies... especially yellow squash or greens.

Life is good.
