end of summer color

Bright, bold, vibrant zinnias

Another beautiful group of flowers I found yesterday

Aren't they just gorgeous with their hot color blazing in the sunshine?

I loved finding this field of bright color

The red, the orange, the pink, the salmon

you have a way of making everything look delicate and lovely whether drenched in the sun of high noon or that of sunrise. i have a five gallon bucket filled to the brim with the spent blossoms of zinnias that i could not bring myself to throw on the compost heap. they are so intricately colored with the shading on each and every petal being as different as a snow flake.

These photos are just the most perfect last little bite of summer. I'm so ready for autumn, but want to print one of these to prop on my desk for days when the snow is falling and the skies are gray. So happy to find your site!
