neutral inspiration

So my handsome husband is away again.

And you know how much I love making changes around here when he is away...

Some of my very favorite, inspirational blogs is helping me add a bit more neutrality to our home. (insert dramatic groan on behalf of my children here...)

Min Lilla Veranda is a blog that I always wish I could read as I am sure it is just as interesting as it is beautiful!

Jacqueline of Home has such an incredible eye for beauty. She finds photos that make me want to run out and find more fabulous vintage finds for our home. Case in point, this pantry~

This pantry photo is the exact feeling I want guests to have when they spend time in our home. I love how comfortable it is - how welcoming. I also tend to focus on food quite a bit. I love for people to leave and be inspired to cook something fabulous, or bake something delicious~

I love Shannon Fricke for her incredible styling, but also because of photos like this~

We have a huge, black baby grand in our living room. My husband loves that piano. He plays it beautifully. However, it doesn't exactly go with "my" decor... Thankfully, when I see photos like this, I see that it is possible to make it work. Thank you Shannon!

Those girls down under really know there decorating, don't they? I adore Ness at Marley and Lockyer for her endless gorgeous inspiration. I do wish we were on the same seasons, as now that she is going into summer, she is lightening up, while I am cozying and nesting. I will simply have to go back through her old posts to find some winter inspiration!

I love neutrals! Thank you so much for the eye candy. :)

Note: If you go to Google Translator and put in the link of the page you are trying to read, then you can read anything you want. Hope this helps!

From the 'foodie' - I love the holidays to Cook something delicious and get the kids involved. Hubby is an ex chef so I do have a bit of inside information. Combinig taste, nutrition and making it visually appealing is a winning combination. A glass of bubbles can also be an essential item in the mix (spotted in your beautiful pantry pic! Kate x

OMG, I just want to go out and buy pitch forks for my wall right now. How cool are those?!

My hub is aslo very frightened of what changes he'll find when comes home from trips (hence the fab art Joe made BH). He just needs to pipe down ;)

GREAT eye candy finds, as usual--keep it comin'!

Hi-i read your blog so often and finally had to post. I, too, look at the Swedish/Norwegian blogs and finally figured out how to use "Google Translate". I can finally read what they are saying (almosot-the translations are a bit cryptic!!) Oh dear-just saw that Bonnie posted the same information!!! well...never mind!

Your blog is lovely by the way!!
