I realized this morning while going through a few old photos that I never posted the few vintage items that I bought at Farm Chicks! All three are things that I love, which is my new motto in the house:
These items fit well in our 1928 farm house~
~I collect vintage milk jugs
~I have always wanted an old scale
~I was thrilled when I found this vintage egg basket which collapses completely flat!

Absolutely lovely....love that old scale :) Great finds!
Thanks for coming to visit at my blog- love your three items, especially the white jug!
I love those scales also. I found some great silver items at Vinnies recently but yet to find lovely scales like these. Julie
Love your stuff...I have a scale very similar to yours and love it. The egg basket is too neat.

Love the blackboard alot! and you, little boogar, that tag looks familiar, and that jug is adorable, better not invite me over I might steal it! :)
Wonderful post! I keep an ironstone milk jug just like yours on my desk filled with paintbrushes and pencils. I am an ironstone fanatic! Like you, I am currently paring down and simplifying my life. I don't want extras or things I can't use and love every day. Like William Morris said, "have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." I am trying to live by these words.
PS I just remembered that my jug actually made an appearance in two posts I did this week! Wow, it's funny how these things are so much a part of our lives that we sometimes forget how much we love (and use) them.

Love that little basket ~ do you use it to collect your eggs?

Everyone needs a vintage scale - it's the perfect pedestal for a almost any little thing! And the world could never have enough milk jugs. Love all of your finds!
Hi sweet pea - love your fabulous finds from farm chicks - I'm still posting about that trip! I have one of those baskets too, but thought it was for catching shrimp! I have it on my porch/ studio and it's filled with mussel shells. I want a scale too - that's wonderful.
What treasures!!! and LOVE the quote!!!
Beautiful items you've found. Love the egg basket, I have one hanging from my pot rack but it doesn't collapse, found it in France though ;)
Glad to have found you.
Fabulous finds! That was such a good party for you and then to get treasures to bring home as well to remember it by....perfect.
That chalkboard should be in my kitchen. I'm in the process of clearing out much of my houe and need to be reminded of that!

Very, very cool items. Great finds!
Nice finds! I just parted with my old scale just like that one. Mr Man hated it. He kept putting it in the back room when I wasn't around.
Geeze, now I miss my scale!
Beautiful simple treasures! My great-grandfather gave me his scale that looks exactly like this one, and I use it everyday! It still measures precisely - I love it!
