Welcome to the Big Top

Because yes, it was a bit like a circus~

Where does one begin to describe the bliss that is the Farm Chicks show?  How about at the beginning?

The party started in the line-up.  Melaine, Trina, and I met a few of our linemates, and everyone was in such a festive mood.  Soon Rebekah and Brooke joined us and we were in full party mode after that!

One of my very favorite photos of the show (and I took a LOT of photos...)~

New friends~

And then the line began to move...

When I first walked into the show, I will admit, I was completely overwhelmed.  It was so much bigger than I had imagined and there was SO MUCH TO SEE! I immediately began shooting with Francis as I didn't want to miss a thing and it was still easy enough to get into the booths as the crowds really hadn't descended yet...  All of the girls went their own way, drawn to different booths, looking for various treasures.

The first photo I took~

~how I would have loved to bring this home with me to use as a cubby for the boys things~

I met the "real" Mimi of Mimi's Vintage Goods in Spokane, who was selling these fabulous boots at the Chaps booth~

And then I ran into the girls themselves!  I began to gush, and they were so gracious about not exchanging looks and rolling their eyes.  I do hope they know how much their hard work is appreciated by so many of us~

Cindy really is the Queen of all of this - she puts a booth together like no one else can!  We went back so many times, I am sure they were ready to kick us out!  However, I did get some of my very favorite things there...

Deb and Bob of the endlessly divine Retreat Design had yet another incredible booth and the piece de resistance?  This incredible "Piano Bar" which I think Kasey could have purchased and brought home on the plane, if she had really wanted to that is...

I can't tell you how many times I saw Lisa of A Thing for Roses!  She sold me my crinoline, which became a staple of my wardrobe that day... (along with my fabulous smock apron and headpiece from the Queen!)

One of my favorite booths, for so many reasons...

Kasey and Melaine had a wrestling match over this pillow.  Kasey was clearly the victor, although she then had to guard the damn thing the rest of the day...

She also found this perfectly appropriate head piece and I really wish she had bought it.  I can see her now, vacuuming the house while wearing it, little children playing at her feet...

Dawn of Great Findz had a wonderful booth with this pillow-filled bed that we all wanted to take home.  She also did the flag garland at the top of the post, which I am somehow going to get from her..

Beth and Heather looked marvelous in their matching outfits, which also matched their booth. * Loved * their booth!

I met the girls of Bella Country~
It was really special to meet people you had read about!

And then there were the hours of looking at divine treasures, many of which I am kicking myself for not buying...

And although we could have stayed for another couple of hours, it was getting late and there was a party to go to!

And some of us were just plain tuckered out...

So yes, it was like a circus~  the best circus I have ever been to.  I am already counting down the days until next year...

I think we met at The Farm Chicks. I was with my little girl who is 5 - whe was mesmerized by your crinoline and the bow in your hair. We stopped to talk and you explained that you had all boys and were taking the opportunity to really girl it up for the weekend. I think it's so amazing to find connections with people I saw or met while there. I hope you had a wonderful time. We had SO much fun that weekend!
