Cannelle et Vanille is a incredibly marvelous website with photos that make me want to live in my kitchen. (thank goodness she also has a flickr site to see even more of her delicious goodness!) Her recipes are quite European, which makes sense seeing as she is from the Basque region~ If you look at the recipe index on her site, you are certain to find something you can make to entertain your friends, persuade your husband, buy off your children, or just make to have on your counter looking fabulous!
I have spent a lot of time perusing her site, and can only say that it was time well spent. She features a wide variety of recipes for pastries, macaroons, mousse, ice creams, souffles, and my very favorite - meringues, not to mention endless other wonderful treats.
And then there is the photography~ She must have a fabulous macro lens because her shots are absolutely amazing. From the composition to the lighting, for me it is inspirational not only for food photography but for anything taken at close range. I honestly could look at her photos for hours...
Now I realize that this is sounding a bit like a crush, and most likely it is. It is simply that she combines so many things that I love into one amazing website. The good thing for me is that I have finally found my "happy place" - whenever I need to use visualization to go someplace good and happy and full of sunshine, I will be heading to Cannelle et Vanille!

(and just to prove that she is amazing at photographing things other than food, have a look at one of my favorite flower photographs! I love ranunculus!)

Wow! This looks amazing! Thanks for the link Mimi!
I came to your blog earlier this morning. Your kitchen is officially my dream kitchen. I was actually going to do a before and after post on my own kitchen this afternoon and was hoping to include pics of your kitchen as my dream kitchen. I will put a link to your blog. I hope that's okay! Lissa
