the gift of friendship

Some days I feel so lucky to have the friends that I do.  Today is one of those days.  I saw a bag hanging on my front door this afternoon and went to see what it was.  It seems one of my dear friends, who knew that I had been admiring this mug for my daily coffee/chai/tea was sweet enough to buy it and leave it for me to make my day just that much brighter.

I am a big believer in random acts of kindness.  Have you done anything lately that made someone smile?

What a sweet gift, especially knowing one of your friends noticed that you were admiring it!
The other day as I was leaving a restaurant I saw an elderly couple they looked so sweet as we paid our bill at the register I paid for their breakfast. I enjoy paying it forward. I get so much more out of it.
Enjoy your new cup!!

Doesn't it just feel wonderful Joyce? I saw a couple at the fruit market last summer discussing how much she wanted cherries but that she knew they couldn't afford it. When I went to pay, I asked the manager to add enough for a few pounds of cherries for the couple. I hope it made them as happy as it made me~

What a sweet friend. And a very cute mug! When I drive the interstate, I sometimes pay the toll of the person behind me. They catch up and give a big wave- I love this. And I will do something kind for someone today. Thank you for the nice reminder.
